Background
The Department of Education chose FileMaker Pro as the MAEMIS platform partly to allow locals to create enhancements to serve local needs. While this works well in theory, historically there has been a fly in the ointment. Each time MAEMIS is updated, local enhancements are lost. Recreating them in the updated MAEMIS can be tedious, frustrating, and expensive. Because Adult Ed is beholden to many grantors, frequent database updates are an unfortunate reality.
Now, thanks to Remote_Fx , a simple and inexpensive solution is available to resolve that tedium and frustration.
